...at least right now!...
Like any other person with a job, career and/or profession, I work hard at what I do. However, there are times when the artist/writer muse needs a rest. It's at those times I head out-of-doors.
For me the yard - backyard, front yard, farm - are places of work: requiring maintenance, improvement and constant upkeep. They are also places of joy and enjoyment - sitting out on the porch swing on a nice day when the air has warmth to it and the sun is shining...well, a little bit 'o heaven on earth to me. This is the 'art' in 'Art of Living.'
The point is this: don't work so much you ignore the surround.
Oh, an update on my rose garden...a gopher ate the yellow rose bush. For Pete's Sake! Critters! Did plant a red rose tree and a coral-colored rose and two pink miniature roses. I have about 30 glad bulbs which are leafing...that piece of garden is going to be lovely.
What's growing in your garden this year?
