Today is Day 9 of the January "30 Paintings in 30 Days" art challenge. I titled this one "Fractured Sunflowers." The other photo? Well, this past Saturday my older daughter got married. Yes, there was a photographer hired to do the official wedding photos, but like everyone else in attendance, I had my iPhone and took lots of pictures myself. As the Mother of the Bride these all have special meaning for me. This particular one shows the Bride playing the grand piano and singing to her new husband. I love to hear her play, and to see this little vingnette was incredibly sweet.
My part of California is in the midst of an intense storm system, dropping lots of rain. It rained the day of the wedding. But no one cared. The ceremony and following reception were held in the home of friends of the bridal couple and the storm outside just made it all the more cozy inside. Sigh. I love weddings.
