In just a few more weeks this will be a jungle!..from the front: "Clemson Spineless" Okra - have 4 rows and these little guys will grow to 5-6 feet tall; [to the right out of the photo is a small bed of "Long Red Florence" onions; then comes this year's crop of sweet potatoes - these will vine all over the place; across the sidewalk is some sweet corn, planted with "Honey Rock" Cantaloupe and some parsley. We got a late start planting this year but I have a feeling that won't make a difference once harvest starts. In fact, by next week there should be enough pinky finger-sized cukes to do a first jar of cornichons. Yesterday I harvested enough basil to make a batch of pesto. Oh my gosh but fresh basil smells so good! What's in your garden this year?
